RIT staff member Meredith Smith has recently joined the Board of Directors at CHS Healthcare. Her role as a community-based board member involves participation in decision making and planning for the strategic direction of the EMS agency.

Meredith is Associate Vice President for Government and Community Relations at RIT. Prior to joining RIT in 2010, Smith worked on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., and practiced law in the metropolitan Washington area. She received her bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and has a J.D. from George Mason University.

Nominations for the CHS Healthcare Board of Directors occur annually in November. Those interested in a potential nomination for future seats are invited to contact the agency in mid-October.
