CHS Healthcare Recognizes Members

Henrietta Volunteer Ambulance (HVA) announced today the recognition of four members for outstanding achievement to the company and furthering its mission.

Steven Bosley was honored as “Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Of The Year” for 2013. After an honorable 22-year career with the United States Navy, Mr. Bosley became an EMT in Virginia prior to moving to New York. He joined HVA in 2011 and has quickly become a role model to others. Steve has proven himself to be one of the most positive, upbeat and professional EMT’s in recent history.

Chris Murtaugh was recognized as “Paramedic Of the Year” for 2013. Starting as an EMS volunteer in 1999, Chris is now a full-time paramedic and serves as Captain for the agency. Thanks in part to his efforts, the community CPR program and overall awareness of CPR education in Monroe County has increased. Mr. Murtaugh recently became a preceptor within the region, mentoring new paramedics as they begin their practice.

Brian Bartolick & Alex Cook have both been honored with “Member Of The Year” awards. In addition to their outstanding clinical care as full-time providers, they have grown HVA’s clinical simulation program. This exciting new endeavor affords EMS personnel, hospital providers and other medical professionals the opportunity to train in realistic simulation scenarios. Both Brian and Alex have been instrumental in launching the Training Centers’ newest program. Mr. Bartolick is a paramedic and began his career in EMS in 1991. Mr. Cook is also a paramedic and started in EMS in 2006.

All four providers were acknowledged at the recent CHS Healthcare annual banquet which was held at the RIT Inn & Conference Center on February 1, 2014.
