Monroe County Sheriffs & Town of Henrietta OPIOID AWARENESS OUTREACH EVENT

Monroe County Sheriffs & Town of Henrietta
OPIOID AWARENESS OUTREACH EVENT
TOWN OF HENRIETTA
COMMUNITY WIDE EVENT
MONDAY MAY 7, 2018 10 AM – 2 PM

BUSHMAN’S CABIN, HENRIETTA VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK, 595 CALKINS RD.
This event offers a pathway for families and community residents suffering from
substance use disorders to connect with an abundant amount of resources available
in our community.

We will have Rochester Regional Health there to provide on the spot evaluations for
those looking for immediate treatment. Becky & Paul Baker from SOARS (Substance
Overdose Awareness Recovery Services), a nonprofit organization that offers family
support and education, will be available with options to help the person in need as
well as their families.

Cameron Farash, a Monroe County Recovery Support Navigator, will be available to
help those in need. Many of us need assistance to navigate the ins and outs of the
many services available, only if you know where to look and whom to speak to.
Recovery Now NY offers weekly family support in conjunction with Gates to
Recovery. Rochester Regional Health will also be on hand to offer evaluations and
the treatment options for the individuals requiring assistance.

Trillium Health will also be there offering Narcan training and narcan kits at no
charge. These kits are a life-saving opioid reversal used when someone is suffering an
opioid overdose.
