Training Center

CHS Healthcare offers a number of classes in our new, state-of-the-art Training Center. Connected to our main headquarters, the 2,800 square foot facility features seating up to 48 people. We provide training to not only our staff but also the community at-large.

If you are a member of the Town of Henrietta, Chili or Wheatland, you are able to take any of our classes for FREE.

Replacement Cards

We understand that sometimes cards are misplaced. If you took your class through us, you can receive a copy of your card for free by contacting training@chsmobilehealth.org. If you took your class through another AHA Training Center, please contact them to issue your replacement card.

Heartsaver CPR/AED Course

It is our belief that all members of the community should be certified to perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and know how to use an AED (automatic external defibrillator). The community-based CPR class is called “Heartsaver AED”.

  • Class Length: 3.5 hours
  • Class Fee: $75
  • Certification Period: Two years

The class is FREE for full-time residents of the Town of Chili, Henrietta and Wheatland (excluding Village of Scottsville). Residency will be verified.

NOTE: This course is NOT for medical professionals. If you are any of the following, please see the “BLS for Healthcare Provider Class” below: nurse, nursing student, EMT, paramedic, dental office employee, medical office employee, etc.

BLS Provider Course (CPR/AED)

If you are a medical professional and require a CPR certification, this is the class for you. This includes EMTs, paramedics, doctors, nurses and other medical staff. If you’re unsure which class to take, please contact your employer.

  • Certification Period: Two years

Heartsaver First Aid Course

American Heart Association’s Heartsaver First Aid course effectively delivers the most comprehensive first aid training in the industry. This four-hour class is tailored to both employees of local companies as well as the general public. Topics covered include first aid management of common medical conditions including chest pain, bleeding, shortness of breath, stroke and diabetes. The AHA First Aid class offered by CHS Healthcare is held in our Training Center on Calkins Road. However, local business owners may contact us to setup a custom on-site class as needed.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) refers to a set of clinical guidelines established by the American Heart Association (AHA) for the urgent and emergent treatment of life-threatening cardiovascular conditions that will cause or have caused cardiac arrest, using advanced medical procedures, medications, and techniques. ACLS is an advanced, instructor-led classroom course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. In this course, skills are taught in large, group sessions and small, group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented. The AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support class is offered by CHS Healthcare at our Training Center on Calkins Road.

  • Certification Period: Two years

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

The PALS Course is for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children. These include personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics and others who need a PALS course completion card for job or other requirements. This classroom, video-based, Instructor-led course uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes. The AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support course is offered by CHS Healthcare at our Training Center on Calkins Road.

  • Certification Period: Two years

NYS EMS Classes

We currently do not offer NYS EMT Classes at this time. However, we do hold in-person NYS Basic Life Support (Core Content) and NYS Advanced Life Support (Core Content) classes to satisfy the NYS Mandatory Core Subjects including: Airway, Cardiology, Neurology, Endocrinology, Respiratory, Trauma, Pharmacology, Preparatory, and EMS Operations.
