Henrietta, NY, May 8, 2014 — Henrietta Volunteer Ambulance (HVA) announced today the promotion of Linda Missel to the position of Assistant Chief of Training. Starting as an EMT in 1995, Mrs. Missel joined the agency in 2007 after volunteering at the St. Paul Fire Department in Rochester.
After beginning her career with CHS Healthcare as an EMT (emergency medical technician), Linda was promoted to Training Lieutenant (2007) and Training Captain (2013). Her new role as Assistant Chief involves oversight, budgetary responsibility, planning and day-to-day logistical management of the training department.
Linda is also a Certified Instructor Coordinator (CIC) for New York State which allows her to teach and oversee other instructors within the EMS (emergency medical services) curriculum. She has taught EMT classes for MCC since 2006.
